SKINCARE

-How many times do you wash your face daily?


I cleanse, tone and moisturise in the evening religiously and depending on how my skin feels I'll do the same in the morning ..if it feels clean sometimes I will only cleanse with water becasue over cleaning the skin can cause irritation.

-What skin type do you have?


My skin is normal to oily.. it can get oily in the T-zone. 
 -What is your current facial wash?


I switch it up everyday.. boscia clear complexion cleanser,  bobbi brown balm rinse and cetaphil.. 

-Do you exfoliate?


oh yea! its a must once a week!

-What brand do you use?

-What moisturiser do you use?


at the moment Aveno w/ SPF for day and boscia clear complexion night cream for night


-Do you have freckles?


yuuppers


-Do you use eye cream?


Yes I do


-Do you or did you have acne prone skin?


I dont know if it was acne but there was a time when I would constantly break out


-Did you ever have to use Pro-activ?


No


MAKE-UP


-What foundation do you use?


Tie between nars sheer glow, bobbi brown skin and MUFE HD foundation.  LOVE all 3 equally!


Iv been starting to like the MUFE velvet matte also ..that might be because it has been hot and sticky out lately


-How about concealer?


Mac studio finish!!  sometimes I'll just wear that and mascara and Im good to go!


-Do you know your undertone color?


I am a yellow/olive undertone


-What do you think of fake eyelashes?


I love them.. if I wasnt lazy and the glue didnt pull out my lashes I would probaby wear them everyday


-Did you know that you are supposed to change your mascara every 3 months?


YES.. I love mascara so much and I put on so much that I always need a replacement before the 3 month mark.


-What brand of mascara do you use?


Revlon fabulash.. all time favorite!!  diorshow extase is nice too .. but I dont want to spend $24 on mascara all the time :/


-Sephora or MAC?


Sephora!!  Iv worked for MAC and ever since then it is not as exciting anymore


-Do you have a MAC Pro-card?


no


-What makeup tools do you use in make up application?


my hands! brushes! eyelash curler! and once in a while a q-tip comes in handy for boo boo's


-Do you use make-up base/primer for the eyes?


All the time

I like earthy tones

depends on the look i am going for .. but I tend to use liquid more since i feel like its quicker

hardly ever.. now watch i poke myself tomorrow :p

they are nice for the evening

Yes  i do

Nars orgasm .. its jus so freakin pretty

Never have.. i like to try it on my hand before I buy it; so going to a store works better for me.

yes.

I have ..sometimes they have ggreat stuff and other times ..not so much


-Did you ever consider taking make-up classes?


I have .. but they hardly ever help .. I'v learned most of what I know working in the field.

I am clumsy in all other things but not putting on make-up

Red lipstick on the freakin teeth..  aaaahhhhh wipe ur teeth sister

I wear neutrals more often but I am a sucker for all those pretty colors tho

Concealer

yes, I do it quite often.. I would hate to be at the point where I felt I couldnt leave the house w/o any make-up on

Love and Hate

OK so I came to the realization that I always talk about things that I love.. and why not if I love something I want others to have the opportunity to love it too.  At the same time I need to talke about things that I dislike..

Example this Redken shampoo.. I disliked it to the MAX there came a point where just looking at it pissed me off.. I even left it in the shower so my sister would use it up; because she uses all my stuff and she didnt even use it.
Reasons why I disliked this product:
it claims that it will preserve your hair color (dyed) vs. a regular shampoo.. tell me why this shampoo stripped my color soo fast and gave me a dry scalp. I had red highlights at the time and they faded to a brown so fast while I was using this shampoo/conditioner.  For comparison reasons I have to say while I was using my purple pureology shampoo the red highlights lasted so much longer..

only plus ..it smelled good.

ok on to my favorite part.. what I love.. so I got this exfoliator about 2 months ago and I use it once every week.  It has very fine exfoliant beads and smells citrus-y.  I use it while im in the shower and I exfoliate my skin continuously for 2 mins w/ it for a deep cleaning.  Its not some miracle worker but it does work well.. I have noticed brighter more glowy skin.. less blackheads in the nose area and it even helps fade scaring a bit too.

Dior and EOS

Like every other make-up junkie I will go through phases of lip products.  I will start using something and then I will keep it in my purse and continue to use it until I re-discover something else.  At the moment I am loving the Dior addict ultra gloss pearls:

Number 267 (pink) and 236 (peach). I usually wear nude0ish colored lips so these go well with the lipsticks I wear.  I like the formula because it is very shiny w/o the sticky mess! .. down side ..at times the glitter can be a bit much for the day time.

Another lip product that I have been excited about lately is the EOS lip balm .. 

 

Not only is it the cutest thing ever but it feels sooooo good :o) It comes in different flavors also but the smell or taste is not over bearing.  I got a set of three for about $10 .. I wasnt going to use them all so I gave one to the sister and one to the bf.  If you ever have a problem w/ your lipstick not going on well because your lipbalm is too waxy you dont have to worry about that with this product. 

SSSOOOOO I got a killer sunburn.. then it became a nice-ish tan ....and now (not surprised) I am peeling like crazzzyyyyy!!!!  LOL to the fabulous tan line ;p

PLease Help... any tips on how to get rid of the peeling phase faster???

Finally got my hands on it!!

I have been looking all over for this color and finally found it!! and I freaking love it!! its the perfect bright-ish pastel-ish blue-ish green-ish!!

I put it on real quick on my nails.. it looks sloppy but I had to post a pic :o)

It is called Nouvelle Vague (#572) byCHANEL... it is from their limited summer collection.

It will look great on the toes also!

My sisters prom

So my sister's prom was this weekend and naturally she expected me to do her make-up ...even tho I was working.. =/  ..sooo being the nice and most amazing sister that I am;  I rushed home and had about 35 minuets to do her make-up.  We decided a smokey eye would be best. So I did a dark green smokey eye, with peachy cheeks and lips :o)

My sister can't keep make-up on her face to save her life ..she is so careless sometimes so I used this on her:

....and thank you God for this make-up setting spray because her make-up lasted all night. Now this is not a miracle product or anything but it does do what it says.  It keeps your make-up on longer! it is lightweight and dries quick too :).. and NOPE it didnt change the color of any of the products on her face

 22 more days until Eclipse!!! I am sooo excited!!! the bf says hes not.. but I know secretly even he is!!! who can resist these two ;p

Benetint and Eclipse Fashion!

Let me start off by saying I Love Benefit products .. it could be a result of working for Benefit Cosmetics for 2-3 years in the ast  .. or its because they have absolutely fantastic products.. I used to use Benetint (it is a steamed rose petal stain that was originally made for a stripper nipples but in present times it is used for long lasting lip and cheek color) very often and I just forgot about it for the last couple years; until the other day I was running late for work and didnt want to go to work w/ no make-up on (because then I look 14); I put on a little bit of concealer under my eyes (due to my genetic dark circles.. thats what I get for being indian :p) ..some mascara and Benetint on my lips ..a couple layers to get the color a bit more intense.. I added a little glosss over it and I was all set!

yes yes underneath all the bronzers ..foundations.. and self tanners.. i am just a pale kid but over the years i'v learned to work with what i'v got :o)

I am just sooo freakin excited for June 30th to come already!!... whats june 30th??? 

Eclipse!!!!  I am such a fan of twilight as you can probably tell by reading my previous posts ;p ..  OK now get this.. Nordstrom is going to have their very own line of Eclipse inspired clothes!! I am so excited ..you can pre-order now on nordstom.com .. they even have lifesize cutouts of Jacob..Bella..Alice and Edward .. but I dont know about all that.  I did like some of the sweatshirts and tanks tho.. They also have the Luna Twilight make-up line on there .. I havent tried any of the products yet but I might have to =o

                               

Did i mention I am sooooo excited?!

Who doesnt like a simple smokey eye?

Sometimes I feel like a smokey eye using different shadows is too harsh during the day especially if I am going to be out doors.  So the other day I was in a hurry and did a quick smokey eye w/ just a few things and I actually liked it a lot (pics taken on my way ..as usual). 

So I put on my Make Up For Ever mat velvet+ foundation (because it was going to be a hot day); I set it with a little but of MAC blot powder in medium . A  put a little concealer under my eyes and urban decay primer potion to prime my lids. Then I used a highlighter under my brows and a brown on my lid up into my crease (I want to say i used soft brown by MAC). 

I then lined my upper and lower waterline with urban decay 24/7 eye pencil in zero. Then took a hard angled brush and smudged feline khol power eye pencil all around my lid.  IMPORTAIN PART: lots and lots of mascara ..I used Diorshow extase ... OMG freakin lllooooovvvvveee it!!! (at the end of the day it comes off so easily too)

I finished off the look w/ a little too faced sun bunny bronzer and Tarina Tarantinos leatherette lipstick (w/ clear gloss over it) on my lips :o)
